MS Teams PATeam Virtual Background Setup

Quick Start Guide

PART 1: INSTALLATION

Step 1: Open Company Portal

1. Click Start Menu
2. Search: Company Portal
3. Click to open

Step 2: Search for Virtual Background App

1. In Company Portal, click Search
2. Type: MS Teams Custom Background or Custom Background
3. Press Enter
   
4. 
   

Expected Result:
✓ "MS Teams Custom Background 1.1" appears in search results

Step 3: Install Application

1. Click on MS Teams Custom Background 1.1
2. Click Install button
3. Wait for installation to complete

⏳ Installation Progress:
   Status shows: "Installing..."
   ✅ Complete when status shows: "Installed"

Step 4: Verify Installation

• Check that status shows: ✅ "Installed"
• Virtual backgrounds should now be available in Teams

PART 2: ENABLING VIRTUAL BACKGROUND IN TEAMS

Step 5: Open Microsoft Teams

1. Click Start Menu
2. Search: Microsoft Teams
3. Click to open Teams

Step 6: Start a Meeting

1. Click Calendar icon (left sidebar)
2. Click "Meet now" button
3. Enter meeting name (e.g., "Test Background")
4. Click "Start meeting" 
   

Alternative: You can also use this during actual client calls

Step 7: Enable Your Camera

1. In the meeting, look for the camera icon (📹)
2. Click to turn ON camera
3. You should see your video preview

✓ Your video is now visible in the meeting

Step 8: Access Effects & Avatars

1. Look for "Effects & Avatars" button (or similar)
   • Usually shows a sparkle/star icon ✨
   • Located in the meeting controls toolbar
2. Click "Effects & Avatars"

Meeting Controls Toolbar:
[🎙️ Mute] [📹 Camera] [⋮ More] [✨ Effects]

Step 9: View Available Backgrounds

1. After clicking Effects & Avatars, you'll see:
   • Virtual background options
   • Blur option
   • Other effects

Display Shows:
✓ Blur
✓ Professional Background 1
✓ Professional Background 2
✓ [More options...]
✓ + More video effects (at bottom)

Step 10: Click "More Video Effects"

1. Scroll down or look for "+ More video effects" link
2. Click it
3. A list of additional backgrounds will appear

✓ More background options load
✓ PATeam backgrounds should be visible

Step 11: Click "Show All"

1. At the bottom of the effects panel, click "Show All"
2. All available backgrounds will display

Complete List Displays:
✓ Default backgrounds
✓ Custom backgrounds
✓ PATeam Virtual Backgrounds ← Look for these

Step 12: Select PATeam Virtual Background

1. Look for backgrounds with "PATeam" in the name:

   • PATeam Corporate 1
   • PATeam Corporate 2
   • PATeam Professional
   • PATeam Blue Brand

2. Click on your preferred PATeam background

3. Background applies instantly

✓ Your video preview shows PATeam background
✓ Background is now active for the meeting

USING IN CLIENT MEETINGS

During Client Calls:

1. Before meeting starts: Enable camera
2. During meeting: Click Effects & Avatars → Select PATeam background
3. During call: You can change backgrounds anytime by clicking Effects again
4. After meeting: Background setting is saved for next call

Professional Appearance:
✓ PATeam branding visible to clients
✓ Professional background behind you
✓ No home office distractions visible
